What security if any is there for the client side user of Win Shadow?
Is not the open port only on the Host side?
there for what risk is there to a client?
I have a fortune 500 company with this concern

The client does not open any listening ports so there is no risk for the client in that sense. Since a default winShadow installation enables both client and host components, it is good practice to disable the host component if not needed. You can do this from the winShadow Server Manager Properties box.
